Signing up and paying

You sign up on teamdock.ai. There you choose a plan, the name of your workspace and whether you want WordPress hosting. You pay through Stripe. The first 14 days are free.

Teamdock has three plans: Essentials, Pro and Max.

  • Essentials you take out yourself on the website, with a free 14-day trial.
  • Pro and Max are sold after a demo. Those plans show the button Book a demo, which takes you to the contact form. You cannot pay for these plans yourself.

Prices on the site exclude VAT. The current amounts are on the pricing page and on the sign-up form.

  1. Go to teamdock.ai and click Start free trial, or open Pricing in the menu.

  2. Under Essentials, click Start with Essentials. You arrive at the form Create your workspace. The plan and price are shown at the top right.

  3. Enter your Company name. Below the field you immediately see the address of your workspace, for example yourcompany.teamdock.ai, and whether that name is still free (green tick) or already taken (red cross). See The name of your workspace below.

  4. Enter your Work email. This is where we send your welcome email with the activation link or your login details. Use an address you actually read.

  5. Optionally enter your KvK number (8 digits, for Dutch businesses). It appears on the e-invoice you get from Teamdock. You enter your VAT number on the payment step.

  6. Tick Add WordPress hosting if you do not have your own WooCommerce shop yet and want Teamdock to host one for you. See With or without WordPress hosting.

  7. Tick that you agree to the Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Agreement. This is required.

  8. Read the box below the form: it shows the date of the first payment. Click Continue to payment →.

  9. You arrive at Stripe’s secure payment page. Enter your card details and billing address. You can also enter your VAT number here. Complete the payment.

  10. After payment you arrive at the page You’re all set!. It shows the address of your workspace and the email address the instructions are sent to. The workspace is live within a few minutes.

Then continue with After payment: the welcome email.

The address of your workspace is made from your company name:

  • Everything becomes lower case. Accents are dropped (Müller becomes muller).
  • Spaces and other characters become a hyphen. “Bakery de Vries” becomes bakery-de-vries.teamdock.ai.
  • The address is at least 2 and at most 32 characters long.
  • The address must still be free. A number of names are reserved for Teamdock itself (such as admin, login, support or help). They are shown as “already taken”.

If your name is taken, change your company name slightly, for example by adding your town, until the address turns green.

You choose What happens
Without WordPress hosting You connect your own existing WooCommerce shop during setup. See Connecting your WooCommerce.
With WordPress hosting Teamdock sets up a separate WordPress site for you at yourcompany.teamdock.ai/wp. Hosting costs a fixed monthly amount on top of your plan; the form shows the total. See The shop we host for you.
  • Stripe asks for a card on the payment step, but charges nothing until the date shown on the form (14 days from today).
  • If you cancel before that date, you pay nothing. How to manage or cancel your subscription is in Your subscription.
  • Where VAT applies, it is added on the payment page.

“… is already taken. Please choose a different name.” Someone else already has that name, or the name is reserved. Change your company name.

You went back from Stripe’s payment page. You return to the form with the message Your details are still here. Continue whenever you’re ready. Click Continue to payment → again. As long as you use the same browser, you get back into your own payment.

The name is taken, but you had only just chosen it yourself. During a payment that has not been completed, a name is held for about a day. In the same browser you simply get back into your payment. In a different browser or on another device the name shows as taken. Go back to the browser you started in.

“We couldn’t check that name right now. Please try again in a minute.” A temporary problem. Wait a moment and try again.

“WordPress hosting is not available yet. Please untick it and continue.” Hosting cannot be taken out at that moment. Untick it, or contact us if you need hosting.
