Connection problems
This page lists the messages you can get when Teamdock cannot reach your shop properly. Some messages come from the server and are always in English; they are shown below exactly as you see them.
When testing the connection
Section titled “When testing the connection”You see these messages under Settings → Account → Store or in the first step of setup, after Test connection.
| Message | What is going on | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| WooCommerce rejected these keys. … | WooCommerce does not accept the keys. They were revoked, regenerated or pasted incorrectly. | Create a new key pair with Read/Write permissions under WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → REST API, paste it and test again. See Connect your WooCommerce shop. |
| This address redirects to … — enter that as the Store URL instead. | Your shop redirects the address to another address. | Enter the address named as the store URL and test again. |
| The store redirects this request to … — enter that address as the Store URL. | The same, but only when the data is fetched. | Enter the address named and test again. |
| Could not reach the store. Check the URL and try again. | Teamdock gets no answer from your shop. | Check that the address is right and your shop is online. Does a security plugin or firewall at your host block requests from outside? Ask your host to allow the WooCommerce REST API (/wp-json/). |
| WooCommerce REST API not found. Is WooCommerce installed and the REST API enabled? | There is no reachable WooCommerce REST API at this address. | Check that WooCommerce is active and that you have the right address (the address of the WordPress site WooCommerce runs on). |
| Unexpected response from store (HTTP …). Check your Store URL. | Your shop gave an unexpected answer. | Check the address. If it persists, check with your host whether a plugin blocks the REST API. |
| Store URL must be a valid http:// or https:// address. | The address is not a valid web address. | Enter the full address, starting with https://. |
| Only an administrator can connect a different store. | You are trying to connect a shop at a different address without administrator rights. | Ask an administrator to do this. |
| Could not reach the server. Try again. | Teamdock itself could not be reached for a moment. | Try again shortly. |
Shop notifications not working
Section titled “Shop notifications not working”Under Settings → Integrations, in the Connections block, Shop notifications says not working.
- The message says the shop signs its notifications with another secret. Click Set up notifications again. Teamdock puts the right secret back into your shop’s webhooks and switches them back on.
- Still no orders? In WordPress, check under WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → Webhooks that the webhooks starting with “Teamdock” exist and are Active. Then test the connection again under Settings → Account → Store; a successful test puts the webhooks right too.
- Does your host block outgoing requests? WooCommerce must be able to send notifications to your Teamdock address. Ask your host to allow this.
Website design shows no preview
Section titled “Website design shows no preview”You see one of these messages in Design:
| Message | What you do |
|---|---|
| No shop connected | First connect your shop under Settings → Account → Store. |
| Install the Teamdock Designer plugin | Click Download the plugin (.zip), install it in WordPress via Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin and then click Check again. |
| Sign in again | Your shop did not accept your login. Sign out of Teamdock and sign in again. |
| Not allowed on your shop | Your WordPress account may not change themes. Ask an administrator of the shop. |
| Your host blocks theme changes | Your shop does not let plugins write theme files. Ask your hosting company to allow it. |
| Your shop did not answer or Your shop reported an error | Check that your shop is online and try again shortly. |
