Picqer

If you work with Picqer, Picqer stays your warehouse system: Picqer imports the paid WooCommerce orders and you pick in Picqer. Teamdock shows on every order where it is in Picqer, and prints Picqer’s shipping labels and packing slips on your own printer. Teamdock never creates orders in Picqer.

  • Your Picqer address: the part before .picqer.com in the address you log in at.
  • An API key for Teamdock. Create it in Picqer under Settings → API keys.
  • To print from Teamdock: PrintNode and a shipping label printer (see Labels and printers).
  1. Go to Settings → Shipping → Carriers.
  2. Under Shipping setup — one is active, choose Picqer and confirm.
  3. Under Picqer connection, fill in your Picqer address and API key.
  4. Click Connect Picqer.

Teamdock first checks the key with Picqer and then registers webhooks in Picqer, so order, picklist, shipment and return updates arrive automatically. You then see:

  • Account: your Picqer address, with a link.
  • Updates from Picqer: how many webhooks are active, for example “4 of 4 webhooks active”.
  • Last update: when Teamdock last heard from Picqer.

If not every webhook is active, click Register webhooks again. Test connection checks the key, and Change API key sets a new key.

Click Disconnect. Teamdock removes its webhooks from Picqer and forgets the API key. Picqer itself is not changed.

On every order, the Shipping card shows the Picqer part:

  • Order: the status in Picqer, such as Processing or Completed.
  • Picklist: the picklist and its status, or no picklist yet.
  • Shipment: the carrier and shipping profile, with Track for the tracking.
  • Returns: the return status. Return labels are made in Picqer.

With these buttons:

Button What it does
Print label Prints the label of the Picqer shipment on your shipping label printer.
Create + print label When there is no label yet but there is an open picklist: creates a shipment in Picqer with the Shipping profile Picqer preselected, and prints the label. Teamdock asks for confirmation first.
Packing slip Prints the packing slip.
Open in Picqer Opens the order in Picqer.
Refresh from Picqer Fetches the latest state.

If you have not set up a shipping label printer, you see Choose a shipping label printer first. and you can open the label and packing slip as PDF.

An order only reaches Picqer once it is paid. If you see This order is not in Picqer yet, wait a moment and click Refresh from Picqer. If Teamdock could not reach Picqer, you see the last known state with a notice.

With Batch pick on the orders page you send the chosen orders to Picqer as one batch. The batch picklist is printed or opened. Then you go through the orders one by one: you mark them picked in Picqer, with Picked only or Picked + label. With Picked + label Teamdock makes the label with the shipping profile Picqer chose; you can also choose another profile.

Shipments from Picqer are also listed on the Shipping page. Picqer reports no delivery, so the last status of a Picqer shipment is Shipped. Such a shipment never gets the “no news” warning and drops out of the lists after 14 days. On the tracking page your customer sees that the order has been handed to the carrier, with a link to that carrier’s tracking.

If you create an order for shipping costs only in Teamdock, Picqer imports it too. Under Tag for shipping costs, choose a tag from Picqer and click Save. Such an order gets that tag as soon as Picqer imports it, with a comment naming the order it belongs to. Create a rule on this tag in Picqer (for example: cancel it, or a shipping profile without a label) so the warehouse does nothing with it.

Under the Picqer setup you can connect DACHSER as an extra carrier, for example for pallets to a country your Picqer carriers don’t serve. The warehouse then picks in Picqer as always, and you book the DACHSER shipment in Teamdock. Picqer must not make a second label then. You set that up once:

  1. Create a tag in Picqer, for example DACHSER. Teamdock doesn’t create the tag itself.
  2. Enter that tag in Teamdock under Tag in Picqer (in One-time setup in Picqer) and click Save. Empty means: the carrier’s name.
  3. Create a rule in Picqer: if the shipping method contains “DACHSER” or the order has the tag, then a shipping profile without a label (for example “Own transport”).

After booking, Teamdock puts the tag on the Picqer order, with a comment carrying the tracking. If Picqer already has a shipment for the order, the booking window warns you and you must first confirm that you still want to book with DACHSER. If Teamdock could not set the tag, do it yourself in Picqer.

If you register a shipment with a Pier carrier, Teamdock marks the Picqer order the same way.

  • No updates from Picqer. Check how many webhooks are active under Updates from Picqer and click Register webhooks again.
  • “A label can be printed once Picqer has a picklist for this order.” Wait until Picqer has picked up the order.
  • The shipping-costs tag shows “not found”. The tag no longer exists in Picqer. Choose another one.
