PostNL
Teamdock has a direct PostNL connection on your own PostNL contract. Right now it is a connection test only: Teamdock stores your PostNL details and checks that they work, but does not book shipments or make labels with PostNL yet. Booking through Teamdock comes later.
What you need from PostNL
Section titled “What you need from PostNL”| Detail | Where to find it |
|---|---|
| API key | In the PostNL developer portal. |
| Customer number | Your PostNL customer number, for example 11223344. |
| Customer code | Your PostNL customer code, for example DEVC. |
Connecting PostNL
Section titled “Connecting PostNL”- Go to Settings → Shipping → Carriers.
- Under Shipping setup — one is active, choose Own carriers.
- Click Connect on the PostNL card.
- Fill in API key, Customer number and Customer code.
- Click Save.
- Click Test connection.
If the key works, you see Connection successful! and the card shows Connected. With a wrong key you see an error that the PostNL API key is invalid. The test only asks PostNL for a status; nothing is booked.
To change something later, click Manage on the card. A saved key shows as ••••••; leave it to keep it.
What the connection does today
Section titled “What the connection does today”- Does: store your details encrypted and test the connection.
- Not yet: get prices, book shipments, make labels, follow tracking or cancel.
PostNL therefore does not count as an own carrier in your plan and does not appear in the carrier rules or in Book shipment.
